Lahja Ikono is a passionate and dedicated Assistant Swimming Coach at Infinity Aquatic Centre, known for her patience, responsibility, and genuine passion for working with children.
She brings positive energy and encouragement to every lesson, helping young swimmers feel comfortable, confident, and motivated in the water.
Confident in the water and skilled in teaching fundamental swimming techniques, Lahja focuses on creating a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment where swimmers can develop both their skills and self-confidence.
Her calm and caring approach allows children to enjoy the learning process while steadily progressing in their swimming journey.
Lahja is also highly skilled in teaching diving techniques so much so that around the pool deck, she is proudly known as “The Dive Queen.”
Her ability to help swimmers improve their starts and dives adds great value to the development of young athletes at Infinity Aquatic Centre.
With experience assisting in swimming programs and a strong foundation in teamwork and leadership, Lahja is committed to helping every swimmer reach their full potential.
During her spare time, she enjoys working on the computer and knitting, showing her creative and focused personality both in and out of the pool environment.
We offer certified professional coaches who actively teach and coach. We use our own skill progressions for water safety skills and stroke development.
